Makoto Isshiki (一色 誠 Isshiki Makoto) is a fictional character in the Japanese light novel series and anime, Chūnibyō Demo Koi ga Shitai!. He is voiced by Souichirou Hoshi in the anime.

Character OutlineEdit

Makoto Isshiki is the first friend Yuuta Togashi ever made in high school. He is friendly and sits behind Yuuta. Similarly to Yuuta, he hardly knows anyone in their class at first. He's often making profiles of other girls in the class. He later joins the Light Music Club to get attentions from girls until he met Kumin Tsuyuri. He bought a new red electric guitar but barely knew how to play it. Later on, he decides to leave the club, but his seniors didn't approve it.

BackgroundEdit

When Makoto is in junior high, he is bald because of baseball crew cut. He doesn’t like having a crew cut because he thinks it makes him looks like a grade schooler. Unfortunately, his father turned bald at the age of 35 and he inherited his father’s genes. Judging from the genes, he'll go bald in a little over 20 years. Makoto was caught in the act of having a poll on the “Cutest girl in the class” and he accepted the punishment which was to shave off all of his hair.

Appearance and PersonalityEdit

Makoto has a dark coloured skin and blue eyes. He has a short black hair until later when it is shaved off. He is a friendly guy and befriends Yuuta on their first day in class. He often makes profiles on other girls and is constantly trying to get their attention. He falls in love with Kumin when she is longing to pat his head.
